Project: BCIT Microsite for Design Essentials Program

For this school group project, I took on the role of project manager, and worked with a content manager, graphic designer, and programmer.

Project Description

To create six functioning pages of a mock informative microsite detailing BCIT’s Design Essentials Program in the Digital Arts Department aimed at individuals looking to change careers, and showcasing the work of the program’s current and past students.

Upon reaching the website, users will be able to learn about the Design Essentials program as well as see a sample of work produced by students of that program. They will be able to see what potential career opportunities are available to them, as well as read some success stories of recent graduates.

As the project manager, I was responsible for:

• Setting the technical, functional, and design scope of the project
• Creating and maintaining project documentation including proposal, contract, and weekly updates to the client
• Facilitating meetings
• Managing deliverables
• Establishing and maintaining the project timeline
